Yvette, now on this plant I love the color coming out of the bud tips. It contrasts so well with the core green. Also like it is reaching out to the sun too.
Yvette-love the Christmas Cactus! I used to grow these when I lived in Atlanta and you've inspired me to get one for the holidays! Beautiful reflection in the window.
Christmas Cactus is one of my favorite plants for this time of year. I had one for years that I started from a cutting from a plant my grandmother had.
Is that a Christmas Cactus. how appropriate. I forgot about Wordless Wednesday, I have to go post one now-Dinah Lee
That's an interesting plant. I am pretty sure my cats would eat it.
I love your plant. I've never seen those before. From reading the comments, I now know what it is. Beautiful.
I wanted to stop over and let you know how wonderful I think you are. I'm so thankful for many things, and you are one of them. I wanted to take the time to let you know how special I think you are. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
GARY - It started to bloom when I put it in that spot, loves the sun!
LISA - This XMAS Cactus is so special because my mom cut it from her own stash & gave it to me last Thanksgiving.
RICH - This is from my mom's cutting! It's the first time that it's bloomed.
DINAH - I really like Wordless Wednesdays. They say so much, without saying a thing!
CHRIS - I think cactus plants are poisonous to pets, aren't they?
ELIZABETH - Thank you! I'm thanking for our friendship & Ar for having met you (cyberlly!)
HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY!
I don't know, but my cat ate a plant once and didn't digest it... ended up at the vet, surgery, too much money. As soon as they showed me what they took out I knew exactly which plant it was and out it went. That was an expensive mistake!
Yvette - Sometimes words don't have to be spoken - Your picture says a thousand words - priceless. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
I was going to say a picture is worth a thousand words but someone beat me to it! I love Christmas cactus. I need to get another one...those are one of the very few plants I am good at keeping alive and thriving. Beautiful post, thanks for sharing!
My mother-in-law has had her Christmas Cactus for 20 years...or longer! It really loves Nevada I guess. Your picture is gorgeous and very appropriate for the holidays!
Yvette - The winter cactus is one of my favorite indoor plant, I have two different colors. thanks for sharing.
I don't know anything bout plants so i've never even heard of a Christmas Cactus but this is gorgeous. I've been looking for a cool plant for indoors, maybe i'll try to find one of these. Really nice picture Yvette.
